About Us
Hi, I’m Zachary Ponds. I started Cub3D Creations, LLC with a pretty simple mindset: build things right, keep it honest, and make sure it actually solves a problem.
My approach to work goes back to my childhood. I grew up building custom homes, learning how to put a house together from the foundation to the roof. That hands-on experience taught me early on what it means to put in a hard day's work and why doing a job right the first time matters so much.
That same drive naturally bled into my love for automotive performance. Whether I'm turning wrenches, tuning an engine, or designing custom parts to keep a car on the road, I've always been driven by the challenge of making things run better. That passion led me to become a Mechanical Engineer. Since 2020, I’ve worked in the manufacturing industry, dealing with everything from high-speed automation to injection molding.
When it comes to my design philosophy, I keep it practical: the product should dictate how it's made, not the other way around. In this store, you'll see a lot of products that I 3D print. I do that because it makes sense for those specific items, it's efficient, and honestly, I enjoy it.
I never force a product into a specific process. When I'm developing a custom solution, a 3D print is usually just the testing phase to get the fit and function dialed in. Depending on what the part actually needs to survive in the real world, the final version might end up being CNC machined, SLM 3D printed, laser cut, stamped, folded, injection molded, etc. I can design for whatever manufacturing method makes the most sense for the job.
At the end of the day, our goal is straightforward: offer fair, high-quality, well-designed products to real people.
Thanks for stopping by the shop. Let's build something!
